EXECUTIVE COORDINATOR

The IAW''s Funding Network, a fast-paced, progressive women's non-profit organization, seeks a talented Executive Coordinator to provide broad based support to the President & CEO. A determined attitude towards follow-up and attention to detail is key to this position. The Executive Coordinator with the entire organization, interfacing regularly with management, the Board of Directors and external constituencies on a broad variety of issues. He/she must be able to exercise discretion, good judgment, and significant initiative and be able to handle highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner. Responsibilities are complex in nature and require independent action and high degree of initiative in resolving problems and developing recommendations.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Board Management
    • Plan and execute logistics of board meetings, including site selection, contract negotiations, budget, agenda and menu planning, on-site management and travel arrangements for 20+ domestic and international Board of Directors
    • Manage daily board relations and taskforces; produce board minutes

Coordination & Logistics

  • on & Logistics Book frequent plane/train trips (domestic and international)
    • Manage CEO's schedule
    • Schedule member/donor visits, speaking engagements, conference calls and meetings
    • Oversee the workflow of the office while the CEO is away, ensuring that all deadlines are met and all activities proceed as planned
    • Serve as back up on phone, reception and mail duties

Event Planning

    • Schedule and coordinate logistics of events related to special projects
    • Assist with planning annual conference
    • Project Development
    • Play vital role in special projects such as the Faith, Feminism and Philanthropy, and Economic Empowerment.
    • Assist with management and development of project including design and roll out
  • Supervision
    • Supervise Administrative Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of administrative work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Excellent communication, strong writing, analytical and creative skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with both management and staff. Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and other database programs.
  • Experience with Board of Directors and Executive Management
