Our Mission

Our mission is to advance women's human rights by making grants to women and other women's groups that work to gain freedom from poverty, violence and discrimination.

Project Independence

Each year the IAW for Women raises all the money that we give away in grants. We receive no government assistance and rely on the donations of thousands of individuals like yourself to provide the financial support needed by women's groups on every continent. The grants we make are not large $500 to $20,000 but they make a world of difference when put in the hands of local groups, who know firsthand what their communities need.
Often what might seem like a small amount of money to us will make a big difference in the lives of women and their families in other countries.
